USDA Withdraws Proposed Rule for Watermelon Research and Promotion Plan

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has withdrawn a proposed rule that aimed to adjust the Watermelon Research and Promotion Plan by realigning production districts and reducing the number of importers on the National Watermelon Promotion Board from nine to seven, following a finding that the justification for the change was legally insufficient.
