EPA Approves Mississippi Clean Air Interstate Rule Revision, Withdraws Federal Implementation Plans

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized a revision to the Mississippi State Implementation Plan (SIP) to comply with the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR), which requires states to reduce sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions that contribute to poor air quality in neighboring states.
