US Department of the Army Releases Final PEIS for Army Growth and Force Structure Realignment

The US Department of the Army has released its Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for the Army Growth and Force Structure Realignment, outlining potential environmental and socioeconomic effects of growing and reorganizing the Army's forces. The preferred alternative, Alternative 3, aims to address modular forces initiatives and critical shortfalls while adding six new Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) to the Army's end strength.
