Request for Information and Nominations of Areas for Leases for Alternative Energy Resource Assessment and Technology Testing on the Outer Continental Shelf

The Minerals Management Service is seeking public input on installing facilities to assess and test alternative energy technologies, such as wind, wave, and ocean current energy, on the Outer Continental Shelf. The agency plans to issue interim policies to authorize these activities under the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, as amended by the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
