NMFS Announces Reimbursement Program for Vessel Owners Using Enhanced Mobile Transmitters in Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is offering grants to vessel owners and/or operators who have purchased Enhanced Mobile Transmitting Units (E-MTU) to comply with Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) regulations in the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery, Open Access Sector, and will reimburse them for the purchase price of the E-MTU.
