NMFS Reopens Comment Period for Amendment 2 to Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is reopening the comment period for 30 days to gather public feedback on a proposed amendment to the Consolidated Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan, which aims to require fishermen to land sharks with all fins naturally attached, and to address suggestions from fishermen on how to minimize impacts on the industry.
