EPA Withdraws Significant New Use Rules for Certain Chemical Substances
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is withdrawing two significant new use rules (SNURs) for dodecandioic acid, 1, 12-dihydrazide and thiophene, 2,5-dibromo-3-hexyl-, which were previously subject to premanufacture notices (PMNs) due to concerns over potential toxicity. The EPA will re-propose these SNURs through a separate notice and comment rulemaking process.
