OFHEO Issues Final Regulation on Record Retention for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) has issued a final rule requiring Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to maintain specific records related to their mortgage business, in line with the safety and soundness responsibilities of OFHEO under the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992.
