DoD Proposes Amendment to DFARS for Fixed-Price Contracts in Development Programs

The US Department of Defense (DoD) is proposing to modify the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to exempt certain development programs from requiring a written determination before using fixed-price contracts. This change would specifically apply to contracts involving the integration of commercial off-the-shelf information technology products under the DoD Enterprise Software Initiative.
