U.S. Proposes Updates to Atlantic Swordfish Fishery Regulations
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) proposes to update regulations for the U.S. Atlantic swordfish fishery to allow for more efficient use of the country's quota, which is set by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). The goal is to enable U.S. vessels to fully harvest the recommended quota, reflecting the improved health of North Atlantic swordfish populations.
