US EPA Establishes Pesticide Tolerances for Clothianidin on Various Crops
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set tolerances for residues of clothianidin, a pesticide used on crops such as sorghum, cotton, and sugar beets, in response to a request from Bayer CropScience and Arvesta Corporation under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) and the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA). The tolerances, which expire on December 31, 2009, allow for the safe use of clothianidin on these crops.
