US Designates Islamic Jihad Group as Foreign Terrorist Organization
Summary
The US government has designated the Islamic Jihad Group (IJG), also known as various other names including Jama'at al-Jihad, the Libyan Society, and the Jamaat Mojahedin, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. This designation is pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act and Section 1(b) of Executive Order 13224.
