Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Proposes Rule to Allow Use of Automatic Hydraulic Inertia Brake Systems on Trailers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration proposes to amend the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to allow the use of surge brakes on trailers operated in interstate commerce, following a petition from the Surge Brake Coalition.
