EPA Announces Availability of Risk Assessments for Phenoxy Herbicide MCPB and Opens Public Comment Period

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has made available its risk assessments and related documents for the phenoxy herbicide MCPB (4- (2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy) butyric acid), and is now accepting public comments on these documents. The EPA is also developing a Reregistration Eligibility Decision (RED) for MCPB through a modified, 4-Phase public participation process, which will inform the development of pesticide reregistration and tolerance reassessment decisions.
