Bureau of Reclamation and California Department of Water Resources Open Public Review for South Delta Improvements Program

The Bureau of Reclamation and California Department of Water Resources have released the Draft EIS/EIR for the South Delta Improvements Program, which proposes various projects to improve water quality and conveyance in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay Delta, including the construction of fish control gates, flow control gates, and agricultural diversions, with a public review period set to begin on December 15, 2023, and an interim operations regime to be implemented until the permanent gates are fully operational.
