NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher/processor vessels using pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI) to prevent exceeding the 2005 total allowable catch (TAC) limit for these vessels.
