Atlantic Herring Fishery Management Area 1B Harvest Prohibition

Summary

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries announced that 95% of the total allowable catch (TAC) for Atlantic herring in Management Area 1B will be harvested by December 23, 2005. As a result, vessels are prohibited from landing more than 2,000 pounds of Atlantic herring in or from Area 1B until January 1, 2006.
