Federal Communications Commission Adopts Rules to Expand Emergency Alert System Coverage

The Federal Communications Commission has adopted rules to expand the Emergency Alert System to cover digital communications technologies, including digital television and radio, digital cable, and satellite television and radio, in an effort to provide a more efficient and technologically current public alert and warning system.
