FDA Approves New Animal Drug Zilpaterol for Cattle

The US Food and Drug Administration has amended its regulations to approve a new animal drug application filed by Intervet Inc., allowing the use of zilpaterol hydrochloride in medicated feeds for cattle raised in confinement for slaughter.
