CBP Introduces Non-Portal ACE Accounts for Importers

Summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has introduced a new system allowing non-portal ACE accounts for importers who want to participate in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) without the benefits of portal accounts. C-TPAT certified partners who don't have ACE portal accounts can automatically participate in the Periodic Monthly Statement test. Importers without C-TPAT certification can apply for non-portal accounts by submitting a CBP Form 5106 to a customs broker participating in ACE via a portal account.
