Nuclear Regulatory Commission Denies Petition from Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has denied a petition from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, which sought to amend regulations requiring 24-hour advance notice for radioactive material releases into sanitary sewer systems and exemptions for certain radioactive materials entering the waste stream.
