FDA Releases Guidance on Safety of Residues of Veterinary Drugs in Human Food

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made available a guidance document (VICH GL-36) that outlines a general approach for evaluating the safety of residues from veterinary antimicrobial drugs in human food, developed by the International Cooperation on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Medicinal Products (VICH).
