Firmenich Secures EPA Exemption for Octanal in Pesticide Formulations

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted Firmenich an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of octanal on growing crops or raw agricultural commodities, allowing the company to use the chemical as an inert ingredient in pesticide formulations without establishing a maximum permissible level.
