EPA Supports Watershed Restoration, Raises Environmental Concerns Over Forest Project and Coastal Monument Plan
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has expressed support for watershed restoration efforts, but has raised environmental concerns over two proposed projects: the West Side Reservoir Post-Fire Project in Montana and the California Coastal National Monument Resource Management Plan. The EPA has given its approval for the preferred alternatives in both projects, but has emphasized the need to minimize adverse impacts on sensitive habitats and ecosystems.
