Exemption of Chemical Mixtures

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has finalized a rule exempting 27 chemical mixtures from regulatory controls, building on previous rulemaking that addressed six other chemicals. The new rule, published on September 16, 1998, (63 FR 49506), implements provisions of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) that require exemptions for specific chemical mixtures.
