FAA Supersedes Airworthiness Directive for Kelly Aerospace Power Systems Combustion Heaters

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is revising an existing airworthiness directive (AD) to address concerns over the reliability of ceramic-coated combustion tubes in Kelly Aerospace Power Systems B-Series Combustion Heaters, models B1500, B2030, B2500, B3040, B3500, B4050, and B4500, which are installed on airplanes. The revised directive retains the existing repetitive testing requirements and adds models B2500, B3500, and B4500 to the applicability section, while removing the terminating action for the combustion tube.
