Agency Information Collection Activities: Proposed Collection; Comment Request

The NRC is preparing a submittal to OMB for review of continued approval of information collections under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). Information pertaining to the requirement to be submitted: 1. The title of the information collection: DOE/NRC Form 741, Nuclear Material Transaction Report; DOE/NRC Form 740M, Concise Note; and NUREG/BR-0006, Instructions for Completing Nuclear Material Transaction Reports (DOE/NRC Forms 741 and 740M). 2. Current OMB approval number: DOE/NRC Form 741: 3150-0003 and DOE/NRC Form 740M: 3150-0057. 3. How often the collection is required: DOE/NRC Form 741: As occasioned by special nuclear material or source material transfers, receipts, or inventory changes that meet certain criteria. Licensees range from not submitting any forms to submitting over 5,000 forms annually. DOE/NRC Form 740M: As necessary to inform the U.S. or the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of any qualifying statement or exception to any of the data contained in any of the other reporting forms required under the US/IAEA Safeguards Agreement. On average, 15 licensees submit about 10 forms each per year--150 forms annually. 4.

SMR, LLC; Palisades SMR, LLC; Pioneer Units 1 and 2; Phased Construction Permit Application-Limited Work Authorization

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is providing public notice each week, for four consecutive weeks, beginning October 1, 2026, of receipt and availability of the first part of a phased construction permit application, including a limited work authorization (LWA) request, from SMR, LLC, on behalf of Palisades SMR, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Holtec International (collectively, Holtec), for a dual-unit SMR-300 plant located at the Palisades Energy Center (PEC) in Covert, Michigan. The units are individually named Pioneer Unit 1 and Pioneer Unit 2. This is the second of four consecutive weekly notifications.

Biweekly Notice; Applications and Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses and Combined Licenses Involving No Significant Hazards Considerations

Pursuant to section 189a.(2) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is publishing this regular biweekly notice. The Act requires the Commission to publish notice of any amendments issued, or proposed to be issued, and grants the Commission the authority to issue and make immediately effective any amendment to an operating license or combined license, as applicable, upon a determination by the Commission that such amendment involves no significant hazards consideration (NSHC), notwithstanding the pendency before the Commission of a request for a hearing from any person.

Virginia Electric and Power Company, (Doing Business as Dominion Energy Virginia); North Anna Site; Early Site Permit Renewal Application

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or Commission) is considering an application for the renewal of Early Site Permit (ESP) No. ESP-003, which allows Virginia Electric and Power Company (doing business as Dominion Energy Virginia) to reference ESP-003 in an application for a construction permit (CP) or combined license (COL) at the North Anna ESP site during the period ESP-003 remains valid. The renewed permit, if approved, would extend the expiration date by an additional 20 years beyond the period specified in the current permit. The location for the North Anna ESP site is in Louisa County, Virginia, and the current ESP-003 expires on November 27, 2027. This notice provides the public an opportunity to request a hearing and petition for leave to intervene with respect to the renewal application.
