Federal Acquisition Regulation to Implement Performance-Based Contracting for Services

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed to convert an interim rule into a final rule to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation, implementing provisions from the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004, to treat performance-based contracts for services as commercial items and require agencies to report on these contracts.
