FDA Approves New Omeprazole Paste for Horses to Prevent Gastric Ulcers

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its animal drug regulations to reflect the approval of a new animal drug application (NADA) filed by pharmaceutical company Merial Ltd., allowing for the oral administration of omeprazole paste to horses to prevent gastric ulcers.
