Withdrawal of Certain Proposed Rules and Other Proposed Actions

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is withdrawing certain proposed rules and actions published more than 5 years ago to reduce its regulatory backlog and focus on current public health issues. This move is part of a broader regulatory reform strategy initiated by Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Tommy G. Thompson.
