US Coast Guard Temporarily Deviates from Bridge Operation Regulations for Rail Repair

The US Coast Guard has issued a temporary deviation to allow the Melville Railroad Vertical Lift Bridge to remain closed to navigation on Fridays and Saturdays in June 2004 for rail repairs.
