NOAA Fisheries Proposes Exempted Fishing Permits for Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fisherman's Association

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, NOAA Fisheries, has determined that an application for Exempted Fishing Permits (EFPs) submitted by the Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fisherman's Association, in collaboration with Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries and Research, Environmental and Management Support, warrants further consideration. The proposed EFPs would allow up to 17 vessels to fish for haddock in a closed area of Georges Bank year-round from January to September 2004.
