IRS Withdraws Proposed Regulations on Taxable Stock Transactions

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has withdrawn proposed regulations on information reporting for taxable stock transactions, which were published in the Federal Register on November 18, 2002, and would have required corporations to report certain transactions to the IRS.
