Federal Acquisition Regulation; Special Emergency Procurement Authority

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on an interim rule to implement special emergency procurement authorities, increasing the micro-purchase threshold and the simplified acquisition threshold for executive agencies responding to contingency operations or nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attacks. The final rule will be published after comments are received.
