Federal Acquisition Regulation; Unique Contract and Order Identifier Numbers

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on a final rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation to require unique identifiers for all federal contracts and purchases, effective without change from the previously published interim rule. This change aims to improve data tracking and reporting through the Federal Procurement Data System.
