U.S. International Trade Commission Investigates Optical Disk Controller Chips and Chipsets for Patent Infringement

The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into Zoran Corporation and Oak Technology, Inc.'s allegations that certain optical disk controller chips and chipsets, including DVD players and PC optical storage devices, infringe on three patents. The complainants seek permanent exclusion orders and cease and desist orders.
