Civil Penalties; Notice of Adjusted Maximum Amounts

Congress has updated the maximum civil penalty amounts for the Consumer Product Safety Act, the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, and the Flammable Fabrics Act, increasing them to $8,000 per violation and $1,825,000 for related series of violations, as mandated by statutory amendments enacted in 1990.
