Guidelines for Ensuring and Maximizing the Quality, Objectivity, Utility, and Integrity of Disseminated Information
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued government-wide guidelines to ensure the quality, objectivity, utility, and integrity of information disseminated by federal agencies. The guidelines require agencies to establish mechanisms for correcting inaccurate information, with the Department of Commerce publishing its draft guidelines on May 1, 2002, and the OMB final guidelines on February 22, 2002.
