NMFS Proposes Exempted Fishing Permit for Northeastern US Fisheries

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has announced a proposal to issue an exempted fishing permit (EFP) for two vessels to conduct fishing operations in the Northeastern United States, exempting them from days-at-sea requirements and Gulf of Maine Rolling Closure Area IV restrictions, in order to develop otter trawl gear for the region's multispecies fishery.
