NMFS Extends Emergency Interim Rule for Monkfish Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is extending an emergency interim rule for the Monkfish Fishery Management Plan until April 30, 2003, to delay the implementation of restrictive Year-4 default management measures and to continue measures based on the best scientific information. This extension aims to provide more time for the implementation of management measures proposed in Framework 1.
