EPA Proposes Settlement Agreement to Address Clean Air Act Lawsuits

The US Environmental Protection Agency has lodged a proposed consent decree with the US District Court for the District of Columbia to settle two lawsuits filed by the New York Public Interest Research Group, Inc., the Sierra Club, and Georgia ForestWatch, alleging the EPA failed to meet a deadline for granting or denying petitions related to Clean Air Act permits.
