US Proposes to Lift Import Restrictions on Salmonella-Contaminated Eggs

The US is proposing to remove import restrictions on eggs from regions where Salmonella Enteritidis Phage-Type 4 exists, as the bacteria has been found in the country, and regulations regarding poultry disease caused by this serotype are no longer enforced.
