FDA Announces Draft Guidance on Residue Testing for Veterinary Drugs in Human Food

The FDA has released a draft guidance document, VICH GL33, outlining a general approach to testing residues of veterinary drugs in human food, developed by the International Cooperation on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Medicinal Products (VICH). The guidance aims to ensure human food safety following the consumption of food products derived from animals treated with veterinary drugs.
