TSA Establishes Security Threat Assessment Standards for Commercial Drivers Licenses
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is implementing new security threat assessment standards for individuals applying for a hazardous materials endorsement on a commercial driver's license (CDL), in coordination with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The rules require a background records check and a determination by the TSA that the applicant does not pose a security threat warranting denial of the endorsement.
