Security Zone: Portland Rose Festival on Willamette River

The U.S. Coast Guard is setting up a security zone along the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon, to protect participants in the annual Rose Festival from terrorism and sabotage. The zone, which will cover all river waters from the surface to the bottom, near the Hawthorne and Steel Bridges, is expected to impact recreational boaters more significantly than commercial traffic.
