Temporary Bridge Closure Approved for Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal

The US Coast Guard has granted a temporary deviation to allow the construction of a new lift-span bridge at the Great Bridge, enabling the bridge owner to close the existing swing-span bridge for four three-day periods to facilitate the project.
