Medicare Program; Payments for New Medical Services and New Technologies Under the Acute Care Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment System

This final rule increases Medicare payments for new medical services and technologies provided to Medicare beneficiaries in acute care hospital inpatient settings, building on the 2000 Benefits Improvement and Protection Act and finalizing regulatory provisions from a 2001 proposed rule.
