Navy Amends Certifications and Exemptions Under International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972

The US Navy is updating its rules to inform mariners of a specific naval ship, USS HOWARD (DDG 83), that cannot fully comply with certain safety regulations due to its unique construction and purpose, in order to prevent potential collisions in waters where these regulations apply.
