Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Fire Safety Requirements for Certain Healthcare Facilities

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is withdrawing a proposed rule from 1990 and replacing it with a new rule that updates fire safety standards for various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices, to align with the 2000 edition of the Life Safety Code.
