U.S. Immigration Rule Amends Detention Process for Aliens Subject to Removal Orders

The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) has updated its custody review process for aliens subject to final orders of removal, deportation, or exclusion, in response to the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Zadvydas v. Davis (2001), which established a 90-day removal period limit.
